Recipe: Yerba Mate Orange Choc Smoothie

You can all picture the scene: it's Christmas morning and the last thing in your stocking is the ever reliable Terry's Chocolate Orange. Will you crack it straight open before breakfast? Of course you will, you're only human.

Well now you don't have to wait until Christmas - you can enjoy our healthy and delicious take on those classic flavours, in a glass! Trust us, it's liquid gold.

What you'll need

  • 1 cup of cold brewed Yerba Zing
  • 1 ripe banana
  • ½ ripe avocado
  • 3 tbps cacao powder
  • Zest of a small orange
  • Dash of maple syrup or similar to sweeten
  • Few drops of vanilla essence
  • Zest and cacao nibs to decorate, if desired

What to do

First brew two teabags (or 5g of loose) Yerba Zing in iced water for 20 – 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, chop the avocado and banana and zest the orange.

Add all ingredients to a powerful blender and blitz.

Hold aloft triumphantly, and consume. You can thank us later.
